Owning the work

AI makes cognition abundant. Outcomes remain scarce.

Models can write, reason, summarise and analyse. But the hard part in real industries isn’t cognition. It’s context, judgment, trust, control of the workflow, and accountability for the result.

A senior accountant can see in minutes why a reconciliation doesn’t tie, then spend the afternoon chasing the invoice that explains it. The model can help with the chasing. It can’t sign off on the books.

The old assumption was that software would sit outside the business and make people more productive. That assumption is breaking.

The failure of current answers

Private equity owns companies but rarely has the engineers to rebuild them.

Software companies build tools but don’t control the workflow, the data or the outcome.

Consultants diagnose the problem and leave before the compounding begins.

AI startups move fast but lack the trust and context to change essential industries.

The new category

Parc is an AI operating company. We buy durable service businesses, put engineers inside them, and rebuild the work around AI and the people who already do it well.

We don’t just acquire EBITDA. We acquire operating context.

The standard stays with the practitioners. In work where 95% correct is the same as wrong, they define what good looks like and correct what the system gets wrong. Each correction becomes a test. A step runs on its own only once it keeps passing.

What we learn in one company, we carry into the next.

What stays

The companies we buy keep their name, their team, their clients and their P&L. Their work is never sold to a model lab.

We own for the long term. No fund clock, no forced exit. That’s what gives the improvements time to compound.

Who we’re looking for

Profitable, founder-led businesses whose clients can’t do without the work. Recurring demand, often required by regulation, built on years of records. Owners thinking about succession who want the business to outlast them.

We’re building from Asia, for the world. Our first companies will be in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The ambition is global.

Join us

We’re hiring a small founding team: dealmakers who have closed acquisitions, and engineers who want their work running in a live business, not a demo. See the roles. If that’s you, or you own a business we should know, write to hello@buildparc.com.
